TNI's employees also started an Employee Giving Fund in 2004, where funds are collected to assist both local charities and international relief causes. Since 2004, TNI employees have donated over $35,000 with TNI matching these contributions dollar for dollar, and sometimes even more. Some of the charitable contributions the Employee Giving Fund has supported are:

Donald, Nicaragua - World Vision

DonaldDonald Jose from the rural community of Quizaltepe in Nicaragua was our second sponsored child through World Vision. Donald’s sponsorship completed in December of 2013 when his community also reached the goal of sustainability.

Yarixza, Peru - Plan Canada

Yarixza

Yarixza Bravo from Los Cedros, Peru was the first child we sponsored through Plan Canada. In November of 2009, TNI visited Peru with Plan and were able to meet Yarixza and her family and see how their sponsorship had been helping them and the community she lives in. Yarixza and her community have now reached the goal of self-sufficiency and our sponsorship of Yarxza has completed.

Brayan, Peru - Plan Canada

Brayan Savina

Brayan Savina is our current sponsored child with Plan and lives in the community of Cusco in Peru. Plan is aiding in Cusco by focusing on children’s rights in the region. We look forward to tracking Brayan’s progress as Plan’s projects in Cusco continue to affect positive change for its children and citizens.

Ivon, El Salvador - World Vision

Ivon Christina

The Employee Giving Fund began sponsoring Ivon Christina In January of 2013. A group of managers from TNI Head Office had the opportunity to meet Ivon when they traveled with World Vision to El Salvador in February of 2014. It was a wonderful experience to meet a sponsored child in person and see first-hand the improvements being realized through World Vision’s sponsorship programs.

Esther, Dominican Republic - World Vision

Esther

TNI’s corporate partners sponsored Esther Castillo in July of 2012, a little girl living in Miches in the Dominican Republic. TNI Corporate Partner, Eric Lecompte, had the opportunity to meet Esther and her family on a World Vision trip to the Dominican Republic in 2013. The partners look forward to their continued participation in Esther’s growth and development through the World Vision sponsorship program.

Maybelin, Guatemala - World Vision

Maybelin Darleny

4 year old Maybeline Darleny was sponsored by our partners in early 2015. Melvin, Guatemala - World Vision

Melvin Alexander

The partners’ third sponsored child is also from Asodisa, Guatemala. 2 year old Melvin Alexander lives with his parents and siblings and his sponsorship is part of the World Vision Economic Development program in Asodisa, which is helping them strengthen their business by connecting them with commercial links and finding new enterprises for their products.
